Here in the Laurel Highlands, there are plenty of things to enjoy. Whether you like sightseeing, boating, fishing, skiing, swimming, biking, whitewater rafting, or just a walk in the woods, everyone will enjoy the scenic Laurel Highlands. History was made in these mountains, with the opening battle of the French and Indian War taking place right near our front door and the first major wagon route to the western pioneer territories running right nearby route 40. Most of the sites listed below are within a 20-30 minute drive from Jumonville.
Perhaps the best known example of architect Frank Lloyd Wright’s Innovative residential design. It is open for tours from April 1st through November every day, except Monday, from 10 AM to 4 PM.
A National Historic Landmark. This is the battleground of the first battle of the French and Indian War in 1754. They offer a slide show presentation, tours of the fort, demonstrations, and picnic grounds.
Kentuck Knob is an excellent example of residential design from the final decade of Wright’s career and a nationally significant work of the great American architect. Its pristine condition, spectacular views, and woodland setting create a memorable experience for visitors to the site.
Laurel Caverns is Pennsylvania’s largest cave or cavern. They offer year-round guided tours. The cave is open 7 days a week from May 1st to October 31st and on weekends in March, April, and November.

Mt. Summit Inn Golf Course The closest golf course to Jumonville. It is run in conjunction with the Mt. Summit Inn which is located at the top of the mountain on Route 40. Nine hole course with separate tee boxes if you want to play 18 holes.
Springdale Golf Course Located in Uniontown, Springdale Golf Course is a nice 18 hole course that is a favorite of the locals and very reasonable rates. This is one of the golf course that Jumonville’s Golf Camp uses every summer.
Duck Hollow Golf Course Also located in Uniontown, Duck Hollow Golf Course is a nice but very challenging 18 hole course that is also a favorite of the locals and also has very reasonable rates.
Cedarbrook Golf Course This golf course to the furthest from Jumonville of the four listed courses. Cedarbrook has two 18 hole courses and the carts have GPS systems.

Uniontown Country Club is a semi-private, full-service and family oriented golf club that offers a wide array of golfing activities. Their challenging 18-hole course plays to a length of 6100 yards and features heavily bunkered fairways and greens. The UCC course par 71 tests players with difficult par 3 holes and several expansive par 4 and par 5 holes.
