Larry Beatty is Jumonville's President and has served in that capacity since the fall of 1981. Larry and his wife, Jaye, lived on the Jumonville campus for almost 25 years and bought their own home on the Jumonville Road about a mile and a half from Jumonville in October of 2006. Lary & Jaye have 3 grown children, 2 daughter in-laws and 3 grandkids that live in Cleveland and 1 grand daughter that lives on the north side of Pittsburgh. Larry's hobbies include golf, photography, database and website design, working on projects around the house, and driving his 2007 Nissan 350Z.
Jaye is the Administrative Assistant and works directly for her husband, Larry. She is the only one who seems to be able handle him. Jaye is very active in several different ministries and one of her passions is doing prayer rooms. Jaye also loves to garden, have campfires, enjoys time at the beach, visits with her many friends, and loves spending time with her four grandkids. Jaye is also an R.N. and spent 10 years as a visiting nurse specializing in working with patients in need of rehab services. Jaye also spent one summer serving as Jumonville's summer camp nurse.
Sarah is our Office Assistant and also serves as our summer camp registrar. Sarah worked on kitchen staff during high school and business school and still works shifts in the kitchen. Sarah is a "PK" who's dad is a United Methodist pastor. Sarah married Chris who is our Food Service Assistant In June of 2014.
Food Service Supervisor
Michael is Jumonville's Food Service Supervisor and has served in that capacity since the fall of 2006. Michael and his wfe Michele and son Michael, Jr. live on site at Jumonville in an apartment below Whyel Chapel. Michael came to us with a degree in food service and has worked in several different restaurants.
Director of Maintenance
Craig Meeder grew up at Jumonville as one of the Meeder kids. He met his wife, Sharon, at Jumonville, married down in Green Cathedral, and worked on maintenance staff from 2000 - 2006. Craig returned to Jumonville at in August 2015 to take on the role of Director of Maintenance following in the footsteps of his father, Scott Meeder. The Meeder Family loves the outdoors and all that Jumonville has to offer and are happy to be back on the Jumonville mountaintop. They live on campus in house above Whyel Chapel and have 3 sons.
Sharon Meeder is a former summer staffer and long time Family Weeker. She met her husband at Jumonville, married down in Green Cathedral, worked here in Asbury Dining Hall from 2000 - 2006 and now returned in January 2016 to take on the role of Office Manager after Mary retires at the end of 2016. The Meeder Family loves the outdoors and all that Jumonville has to offer. They live on campus in The Beatty House and have 3 sons.
Director of Program Services
Jim is one of our newest staff members at Jumonville and just began in January 2015. Jim and his wife Sara and their son, Rhys, live on the grounds at Jumonville. Jim took Ree Enlow's position as Program Service Director. Jim served as a youth pastor for about 10 years before joining Jumonville's staff. Jim's wife, Sara, was a former summer staff member at Jumonville.
Rev. Jude Urso
Director of Business Operations
Jude joined our staff at the beginning of 2017. Jude has been a Pastor in the United Methodist Church for twenty years. He has a M. Div. from Asbury Theological Seminary and a B.A. in Hotel, Institutional and Restaurant Management from Mercyhurst University. Jude and his wife Emily have been deans for the past seven years at the Mommy, Daddy, and Me, and Grandparent and Me camps offered here each August. They have three daughters who range in age from 5 to 12 years old. The Urso family LOVE's all things Disney, especially visiting the parks. Jude enjoys golf, firefighting and spending time with his girls. The whole family is excited about coming to Jumonville and starting this next season of ministry here.
