Larry Beatty is Jumonville's President and has served in that capacity since the fall of 1981. Larry and his wife, Jaye, lived on the Jumonville campus for almost 25 years and bought their own home on the Jumonville Road about a mile and a half from Jumonville in October of 2006. Lary & Jaye have 3 grown children, 2 daughter in-laws, and 3 grandkids that live in Cleveland, and 2 grandkids that lives on the north side of Pittsburgh. Larry's hobbies include golf, photography, database & website design, working on projects at home, & driving his 2007 Nissan 350Z.
Public Relations Coordinator
Jaye is our Public Relations Coordinator. She is in charge of our marketing plan, our summer medical, and giving camp tours. Jaye is very active in several different ministries and one of her passions is doing prayer rooms. Jaye also loves to garden, have campfires, enjoys time at the beach, visits with her many friends, and loves spending time with her four grandkids. Jaye is also an R.N. and spent 10 years as a visiting nurse specializing in working with patients in need of rehab services. Jaye also spent one summer serving as Jumonville's summer camp nurse.
Rebekah is a longtime summer staffer and dean at Jumonville. She has a great love of the outdoors, sports and adventure activities. She will oversee our Adventure Program, Summer Camp Program, and our new relationship with Game Changers Ministry. Most recently Rebekah was a PE teacher with the Culpepper, Va. School System but once again she calls Jumonville home. Through Rebekah's love of adventure, sports and kids we know that Good News of the Gospel will be shared as we continue to make disciples for Jesus Christ.
Office Assistant & Summer Camp Registrar
Sarah is our Office Assistant and also serves as our summer camp registrar. Sarah worked on kitchen staff during high school and business school and still works shifts in the kitchen. Sarah is a "PK" who's dad is a United Methodist pastor. Sarah married Chris who is our Food Service Assistant Director In June of 2014. Sarah can answer all of your questions in regards to summer camp registration and gifting concerns. Sarah's smiling face can be encountered in the office as she is here to welcome and serve our guests in the name of Jesus Christ.
Director of Food Service
Michael is Jumonville's Director of Food Service and has served in that capacity since the fall of 2006. Michael and his wife Michele and sons Michael, Jr. and Max love Jumonville. Michael came to us with a degree in food service management and has worked in several different institutions. Michael has several specialties but one of them is making homemade soups and chili. Michael and his staff are here to serve our guests and to meet their diverse food needs.
Director of Maintenance
Craig Meeder grew up at Jumonville as one of the Meeder kids. He met his wife, Sharon, at Jumonville, married down in Green Cathedral, and worked on maintenance staff from 2000 - 2006. Craig returned to Jumonville at in August 2015 to take on the role of Director of Maintenance following in the footsteps of his father, Scott Meeder. The Meeder Family loves the outdoors and all that Jumonville has to offer and are happy to be back on the Jumonville mountaintop.
Director of Administration
Sharon Meeder is a former summer staffer and long time Family Weeker. She met her husband at Jumonville, married down in Green Cathedral, worked here in Asbury Dining Hall from 2000 - 2006 and now returned in January 2016 to take on the role of Director of Administration. Craig and Sharon have three sons. They love the outdoors and all that Jumonville has to offer.
Guest Services Coordinator
Emily comes to Jumonville with guest, retail and Hope Camp experiences with companies such as The Disney Store, Bon-Ton, First National Bank, and Marion Center School District. Emily will be overseeing the Welcome Center and will be overseeing the needs of our weekend guest groups. In the summer Emily will be overseeing Hope Camp as we seek to have all kids come to camp to hear the Good News of the Gospel.
Rev. Jude Urso
Director of Business & Operations (Executive Dir.)
Jude joined our staff at the beginning of 2017. Jude has been a Pastor in the United Methodist Church for twenty years. He has a M. Div. from Asbury Seminary and a B.A. in Hotel, Institutional and Restaurant Management from Mercyhurst University. Jude and his wife Emily have been deans for many years here at Jumonville. They have three daughters who love living here at Jumonville. The Urso family LOVE's all things Disney, especially visiting the parks.
