Types of Summer Camps
Jumonville has been offering adventure camps since the early 1970’s. Adventure camps are among our most popular programs and offer activities such as: rock climbing, caving, challenge ropes course activities, mountainboarding, canoeing, bicycling, and the adventure center.
Sports Camps have long been a part of Jumonville’s summer camping program. Sports camps are scheduled by age level and offer several hours of sports time every day along with all of the regular camp activities. Specialty sports camps include ultimate games, fishing camp and golf camp.
While CAT Camp (Creative Arts Things) is the cornerstone of our creative & performing arts events, we also offer 2 dance camps, photography camp, and a music camp where musicians come together to form a modern Christian rock band in a week’s time.
Not all campers like the specialty of adventure, sports, or creative and performing arts camps. Our sampler camps are designed for the campers who want to try lots of different types of activities. Sampler camps are done by age level and offer a little bit of everything.
Jumonville has been offering camps for campers with special needs for many years. Two of our camps are for mentally disadvantaged persons without emotional problems. We also partner with other organizations that offer camps for persons with other disabilities. Check out our offerings.
Jumonville has several events that are designed specifically for families to enjoy a camp experience as a total family. Check out our different options.
Jumonville partners with several organizations that run their own summer camp programs at Jumonville. Check out some of those events that are open to the general public. Links will direct you to more information about those events.
HOPE Camp stands for Helping Overcome Problems Everyday. It brings high-risk children into a safe environment to be encouraged, loved, and challenged to grow in their spiritual, social, and personal lives. Camps are offered for FREE, and are based on a different age level for each week for ages 6 – 17.
